This memorial was erected by the local Rotary Club to commemorate some of the famous local military men. It is located in the same village square as one of the civic war memorials.





For a small village to have had 3 VC winners must be a unique feat.

There are THREE streets in the town of Carluke named after the town's VC Holders ...

The three men awarded the Victoria Cross are also commemorated on the Lanarkshire Victoria Cross Memorial Arch in Hamilton
