Erected by Thomas and Margaret Ritchie in loving memory of our dear sons George C Ritchie RNR drowned on the SS Euphorbia 01/12/1917 aged 29, also David who died 31/12/1917 aged 17, the above Thomas Ritchie died 28/05/1928 aged 64, the above Maragret Carnegie died 16/03/1949 aged 81.
Jessie Carnegie died 1929 aged 79.
Thomas Ritchie died 1929 aged 87, his wife Martha Milne died 1919 aged 77. Thomas Ritchie died 20/08/1956 aged 63 son of the said Thomas and Martha Ritchie.

Information from family gravestone in Bervie Cemetery.
In memory of William Ritchie who died 1930 aged 79, also his wife Mary Ritchie who died 1920 aged 67 and of their sons William died in Zanzibar 1st World War 1915 aged 34. Hugh Gowans drowned at sea aged 18. (Erected by their daughters Annie and Maggie)

Erected by the members of Victoria Lodge No 750, Independent Order of Good Templers. To the sacred memory of James Criggie aged 43, James Stewart age 26 of Gourdon who were lost at sea along with David Stewart age 33, William Milne age 26 and Lanceman Smart age 35 during the Great Storm on 04/08/1876. Also brother Charles Mowatt aged 21 who was drowned off Gourdon 23/02/1900. Also brother William Ritchie RNR aged 34 who died on active service at Zanzibar, East Africa in the Great European War 05/03/1915. Also brother Andrew Watt, 2nd Gordon Highlanders who died on active service at Ypres France in the Great European War 27/07/1917 aged 26.

Andrew Lownie, husband of the above died 29/01/1899 aged 35 (Interred at Bervie Churchyard in Bervie)

I am having problems with this Alexander Walker. There is one in the Bervie Cemetery who also had a brother Frank KIA in WWI too, but they are both on the Bervie Memorial.
