| Would this be considered as Linton's 'civic' memorial for WW2 ? |

As it is a plaque inside the kirk I find it hard to classify it as a civic memorial but, certainly, there is no other memorial to those who died in WW2.
Incidentally, I was in the kirk this afternoon taking part in a concert and did not know about the plaques so only had the small camera in my wife's handbag - hence the lack of crispness to the pictures. |
