Just a Few words to introduce myself. My name is Sandy Henderson. I Live in Livingston, West Lothian where I am Chairman of the Royal British Legion Scotland. Our Branch was involved in lobbying the Council to provide the Current Memorial at the Council Offices. This Rememberence Parade and Service will be the last at this location as a new memorial is planned for the new Civic Centre in the Howden district of the town for next year.
For many years we attended the service at the memorial in the churchyard in Livingston Village. I've always felt a little guilty that we have abandoned them.
Being a New Town there are no names on this memorial which makes it kind of strange.
I'm originally from Dunoon, thus my intrest in the Memorials there. I have also posted pictures of the 8th Argyll's Memorial at Beaumont Hamel on the Somme. I have become rather hooked in visiting WW1 Battlefields on the Somme and Ieper. I'll have to see if I have any more usable pictures of those visits.

Welcome too - when I am doing the rounds and hunting out the memorials, I find it helps to think laterally. Sometimes I find them hiding in village halls or museums (sometimes not on display) and one even in a bowling club! Enjoy the hunt.
