This Memorial sits in a Public Park on Henderson Street/Main Street in Bridge of Allan.

It has, what I think are 4 Regimental Badges at the top of each side but they're all quite badly eroded or covered with moss/lichens and are difficult to photograph because of the height.

I think that this is one of those memorials which doesn't look better with age.
However, it would really be quite impressive cleaned up.

Thanks for letting us know about the refurbishment William.

There's something about this memorial I like but I can't quite put my finger on why. I imagine it'll look fantastic when it's finished.

Well, I guess work is behind schedule?

I visited today [25.11.08] hoping to see a resplendent beautifully restored memorial but this is the sight I beheld.

Plenty signs of work going on but no sign if any workmen.

Hi folks, The problem with the memorial is the company carrying out the renovation has gone into recievership and the materials for the renovation are locked in their yard. It is hoped that when the mess is sorted out, and they get access to the materials, work will continue and there will be a rededication service and parade either in May or as part of Veterns Day celebrations June or July. Willie.
