Very, very sad if that is the case.
After their families have withered away, who or what is there left to remember these boys by? Apart from their graves in far off lands.
I didn't think anything about this until today when I looked up the CWGC for 2 boys in this area of Fife who died at Loos with the 9th Black Watch and are buried next to each other in the same row in a cemetery in France.
They are remembered "over there" but forgotten "over here".
Has this been the case for 90 odd years? Incredible - I thought that every Scottish community remembered their own?
