Hi,
In an answer to my post on the Boulter brothers John Benett said he had went to the Register of Scotland in Edinburgh.
Can you just go in and search their records or do you need to make an appointment?

You can go in, pay for a days access (I think it's £10) and browse to your hearts content.
You can pre-book, which will guarantee you a seat. If you just turn up, make sure you do it early in the morning as you'll have to wait in line- if all the places are taken you'll be out of luck.
It used to fill up very quickly but I think a lot of people do their research online nowadays. |

Hi David,
Thanks for the info. As a Service Engineer I'm in Edinburgh quite a lot. I thought that during my half hour dinner break I could pop in for a quick browse.
I've only got three pilots I really want to check up on.

Post the information here, someone might be able to help.
I'm going to Edinburgh on Tuesday, but unfortunately I'm not planning to visit Register House. |
