The memorial is within the church which is situated to the east of the pier, beside the school.

Note the dates!

Private
CLUNESS, MAGNUS
Service Number 2887221
Died 04/09/1946
Aged 51
30th Bn.
Gordon Highlanders
Son of John Cluness, and of Mary Cluness (nee Jamieson); husband of Thomasina Tessie Cluness. of Gutcher, Yell.

Aged 51! Never heard of 30th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders!

Able Seaman
CLUNESS, WILLIAM
Died 12/04/1947
Aged 41
S.S. The Viceroy (Glasgow)
Merchant Navy
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Cluness, of Uyeasound, Zetland.

The only reference I can find is in Dutch!
I think it says that the SS The Viceroy hit a mine when sailing from Antwerp to Aberdeen.
https://wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?1109

I have just seen a facebook post from the Presbytery of Shetland which shows that the memorial is now at St John's Church, Baltasound
