Hi All
As you may know Morayshire has a very good roll of honour but Nairnshire does not. I am currently involved in complying in one which will also include all the men known have served from the parishes of Ardclach, Auldearn, Cawdor and Nairn I will also include Croy as part of the parish fell within Nairnshire. It will also list all the men known to have been treated at Ivybank VAD hospital (does anyone have a photograph)
I have bought the microfilm copies of the Nairnshire Telegraph for 1913-1918 and may get 1919-1921 at a latter date. Information is also being taken from Australian and Canadian National Archives and the information on the Medal Cards and army files on Ancestory hoepfully that will all be on-stream this year. It will hopefully be finished this year. I have four relatives on the war memorials two for Nairn ( James and William Grant 4th Camerons) one for Auldearn (Thomas McQueen 6th Seaforths) and one for Cawdor John Macpherson 17th Battalion A.I.F my grandfathers older brother and also many others who did come home

Regards
Ken
