On Bonnybridge WW1 Memorial, a Pte. John Hay, Lancers - and an alternative name for the Lancers would be . . . . . ?

I also checked Tpr Peter LEITH of 'Yeomanry' and I think that this could be your man.

I wonder why I couldn't find 'oor John' in the 'Lancers', still, sorted now.

Pte. Leith - I had forgotten all about him, in fact, I can't even remember posting a query!

There was no query; I was just looking at your Bonnybridge thread and saw that 'Yeomanry' and 'Lancers' were the 2 'regiments' that required a bit more investigation. Glad to have helped.
