The following is the text of an item from the Daily Telegraph of 23 Feb 2008.
"Soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan are paying their respects to fallen comrades in an onlime military graveyard.
Memorials to about 250 British servicemen killed in the two conflicts have been set up on Tribute Island, part of the virtual world Second Life.
Avatars, or on-screen characters, of serving soldiers are saidto have been seen walking along the rows of graphical representations of simple white graves, looking for deceased friends and colleagues."
Anyone here visit Second Life? (If you have to ask what it is, then you don't). If I finda anyone who does, I'll try and look over their shoulder and report back.

I had a look at 'Lastingtribute.co.uk' as mentioned in the Telegraph online story and found obits to all those killed on duty in Iraq, but could not find any avatars wandering through a virtual graveyard but, then again, I did not register.
