The April date is wrong.

Enlisted 16th April 1912, reported wounded and missing, later accepted died on or since, 18th-19th July 1916. NOK wife Archibaldina Harper, 39 Spring Gardens, Aberdeen ( later 195 Gallowgate)

(Glasgow Herald 9th June 1915)
"Mr Richard Hyslop, Kirkintilloch, received intimation yesterday that her son Private R. Hyslop, 1st Gordon Highlanders, who resided at Woodside, Aberdeen, had been killed in action. Hyslop was called up as a Reservist at the outbreak of the war, and in January last was awarded the D.C.M. for distinguished bravery in the field. Prior to the war he was employed as an engineer on the Aberdeen trawler Benalde."
