The War Memorial for Uig, western Lewis, stands opposite the former Church of Scotland in Timsgarry. It can be reached from the B8011 Garynahine - Uig road by following the signs for the school after leaving Valtos Glen.

For reference: this memorial is NOT in the Isle of Skye

From the War Memorials Trust..........................

In 1999 a donation was made to a project to create a new war memorial in Uig (WM2549).
