90th Foot
Captain Henry Preston - killed in the attack on the Redan - 8th September 1855
Son of the late Revd. William M.S. Preston, of Warcop Hall, Westmoreland.
Lieutenant Arthur Delgarno Swift - killed in the attack on the Redan - 8th September 1855
Aged 21. Son of Richard Swift, of Lynn, Co. Westmeath.
Captain Herbert M. Vaughan - wouned at the Redan 8th September. died 11th September 1855
Aged 26. Son of Lt-Col. Vaughan (90th Foot), of Langoedmore, Cardiganshire.
Lieutenant Hugh F. Wilmer - killed in the attack on the Redan - 8th September 1855
Second Brigade, Light Division Cemetery - "Sacred to the memory of Captain Henry Preston, Lieut. Arthur D. Swift, Lieut. Hugh F. Wilmer, of HM 90th Lt. Inftry who were killed at the assault on the Redan on the 8th September 1855 also Capt. Herbert M. Vaughan of HM 90th Lt. Inftry who died on 12th September 1855 from wounds received on the 8th of the same month." |
