I think you will find it is Old Machar. The WW1 / WW2 memorial is clearly to " The men of this parish ...".
Balgownie is a place which I believe lies in the parish of Old Machar. The same will be true of Bridge of Don. Anne will be more aware than me of the parish boundaries in Aberdeen City. _________________ Jim

I have just been given info on local memorials "Mac" who is an ex Gordon has been going around the NE with his camera and taking loads of photos the text is what he put to the photos.
I liked the idea of map ref so included that. Anne |
