Peter Black is also remembered on the Flisk School Memorial.

He entered theatre of war on 24 Feb 1915 with the 1/4th Bn Black Watch (No. 2120) and on the 27 Nov 1915 he was sentenced to 3 years Penal Servitude for desertion.

On the 3 Sep 1916 he was with 1/4 (att 1/7) Black watch (No.6744) deserted again and was sentenced to be executed which was carried out at dawn on 18 Sep 1916.

He is remembered at Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France.
Any link to Flisk or Newport must be between 1901 Census and entry to the Army
