William Stewart Robertson 2nd Lt DCM 2nd Gordon Highlanders Age 41 Killed in Action F & F 31/10/14 Son of William & Barbara Robertson. Three times Mentioned in Depatches 2 in South Africa. Sjt Major for ten years before the outbreak of war. Husband of Janet Barclay Robertson, Holly Cottage, West Newport, Fife. Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres M. R. 29 Panel 38

Peter Black is also remembered on the Flisk School Memorial.

He entered theatre of war on 24 Feb 1915 with the 1/4th Bn Black Watch (No. 2120) and on the 27 Nov 1915 he was sentenced to 3 years Penal Servitude for desertion.

On the 3 Sep 1916 he was with 1/4 (att 1/7) Black watch (No.6744) deserted again and was sentenced to be executed which was carried out at dawn on 18 Sep 1916.

He is remembered at Trois Arbres Cemetery, Steenwerck, France.
