Greyfriars church was the Burgh church (Church of Scotland) and also the Regimental Church for the KOSB - it contains some of their laid-up colours. It closed for worship in around 2006 and was sold.
In 2008 it began to be used again for worship, as well as for weddings and other events. It is now known as St Brides church which is a traditional Anglican (episcopal) church. But it is also still known as Greyfriars church.

In December 2021 St Bride's relocated elsewhere, the Church is now the Orthodox Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Ninian, as of 26 December 2021.
I noticed this as I walked past yesterday.
I called in later to try to get in to check on the memorials, but with no success. But daily morning and evening office is said there so with a bit of planning it should be possible for someone more local than me to get access.
