Bothwellhaugh is another "lost" Lanarkshire mining village. It was located where Strathclyde Park is now.

More information on Bothwellhaugh can be found here

In Strathclyde Park today there is a memorial cairn to the village. It can be found just opposite M&D's "Theme" park.

Private James Mackie, Bothwellhaugh, was killed. He is a son of Colour-Sergeant Mackie, who is at the front.

...the last mentioned three men were miners and employed in the local collieries before enlisting."

Please note that this casualty is also commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.
