I don't think I have ever seen this on a memorial before but between Adam's photos in 2007 and Anne's in 2008 a named was added to the 1939 -1945 Officers section - LT. JOHN SPOUSE, CAN.ENGR.

However John, born in Eyemouth in 1871, died in France on 21 July 1918.

Update - his name was unveiled on 21 July 2008 - 90 years to the day!
