I'm conscious there are two threads re the Elder Memorial Chapel and that I'm guilty of starting one of them.

Might there be a case for merging them? Mods?

UKNIWM Ref 54483

Located in the Elder Memorial Chapel in Glasgow Western Infirmary at OS Map Ref NS 563 666.

The infirmary is scheduled for redevelopment in 2013 and it seems unlikely that the chapel will survive so the future of this memorial is yet to be decided.

In the event it were possible to secure the support of local representatives at Community Council, City Council and Holyrood to save the memorials if not the Chapel itself,, does anyone have any suggestions where the stained glass and plaques might find a suitable home?

John Alexander Harper is also named on Hillhead High School and in the University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel. The University Roll of Honour provides some background: https://universitystory.gla.ac.uk/ww1-biography/?id=397
