David McClymont is named on New Cumnock War Memorial but I can't see him on CWGC.

He died on 20 July 1919. Cause of death: Phthisis Pulmonalia. Home address: 6 Craigbank Crescent. Employment: Coal Miner.

A Pension Ledger is on Fold 3: https://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?indiv=1&dbid=61588&h=795437&tid=&pid=&queryId=dceed381f92055cdbbb352cd8b8fbd9a&usePUB=true&_phsrc=Phz4928&_phstart=successSource . It states that he was discharged 13 March 1919. Service no: 240798.

If anyone has access to Fold 3 I'd be grateful to know if TB was the source of his disability and whether attributable to war service.

Mike - His Medal Card and Medal Roll as Private 7791 (and 240681) shows him as Disembodied on 19 March 1919. There is no mention of illness or a Silver War Badge so I'd guess that he was considered fit when he was discharged.

No mention of TB on any of the pension cards I've found.

Thanks chaps. One not to pursue then. I'll log what info we have on the New Cumnock thread.
