Very early for a war memorial, particularly a stained glass window, to have been installed and dedicated.

Newspaper states "James Ferguson".

As the window was unveiled in 1917 it only lists the 11 who died up to that date.Once i receive the pics of the memorial plaque and can find details of the unveiling we can hopefully reconcile the different names and identify the right men!

Emslie Tosh is listed on Lodge St. Ninan 732 War Memorial, Alyth, Perthshire but no idea why he was a member there rather than nearer Dundee area.

Hrs.—Temp. Lt. (actg. Capt.) J. M. Grant, M.C. relinquishes his commn. on account of ill-health, and is granted the hon. rank of Capt. 17th Aug. 1918.

Mark - in view of all the supporting evidence, I believe that Terry at IFCP should gather the remaining documentation (Service record, Death cert.) for what is clearly a non-comm case.
The time scale between discharge (August) and death (September) is especially convincing.
