Just thought I would note down some some connections between different organisations which hopefully show how we can all help each other........
Member Mike Morley is planning to visit a church in St Colmonell to record a war memorial window so I asked him to photograph any other windows at the same time so I can pass this on to the Scottish Stained Glass Symposium. As part of his trip, Mike is planning to photograph the Roll of Honour in Barrhill memorial hall.
A lady contacted Mike from the latter arrangement about concerns about the Covenanter Memorial at Barrhill so Mike passed the query on to me.
I have now contacted the War Memorials Trust to ask them to confirm that a covenanter memorial might qualify for a grant from the Centenary Memorials Restoration fund (the broken gravestone will not). I also contacted the Scottish Covenanter Memorials Association who will hopefully co-ordinate the whole thing.
So what do we get out of it? Well hopefully better looked after memorials, possibly some leads and a bit more on our profile.

Excellent news about pooling and sharing visits. I hope more comes of it as churches are the places we need to get access to now, to find their rolls and memorials.
Thanks
