The McPherson's are a bit odd.
Father and son are on a family grave at http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/scottishwargraves-ftopic267-0-asc-75.html (page 6)
The son is
Name: McPHERSON, ROBERT
Initials: R
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)
Unit Text: 1st Bn.
Age: 22
Date of Death: 18/04/1918
Service No: 40771
Additional information: Son of Harry and Bruce McPherson, of 23, Griffiths St., Falkirk.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: X. A. 50.
Cemetery: MENDINGHEM MILITARY CEMETERY

The father is HARRY F. - late Gordon Highlanders on the gravestone.

Name: McPHERSON, HARRY F.
Initials: H. F.
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Gordon Highlanders
Unit Text: 1st Bn.
Age: 49
Date of Death: 22/11/1917
Service No: 7173
Additional information: Husband of Bruce Penman McPherson, of 23, Griffiths St., Falkirk.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: 11. 166.
Cemetery: FALKIRK CEMETERY (Camelon Cemetery now)

But the roll has HENRY McPherson - Gordons and H. F. McPherson - ASC.
Is it the same man????

Pass on both questions!!

The McPhersons . . . . . I'm not even going there! I've had my fill of trying to figure out local families for a while. Laughing
