The Church is situated in Westfield Road,Broughty Ferry,was constructed in 1904 to a design by TM Cappon and officially opened in April 1905.

There do not appear to be any collective memorials however
the centenary history commemorative book of 2004 indicates that they lost parishioners in WW1 and that two are commemorated individually.I have asked Father McCarthy,the parish priest,to search the parish records to establish if any further information exists to identify others who died and/or served.

The two who are commemorated are:

Lt Archibald William John Joseph Douglas-Dick
1st Battn Scots Guards
kia between 8th and 11th November 1914 near Veldhoek
Commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial

His parents,Brigadier General and Mrs Douglas-Dick of Pitkerro House,who were major benefactors of the building of the Church,donated a peal of 9 bells,made by Gillett&Johnston of Croydon,in his memory and also paid to have the belltower augmented to accommodate the new peal.
They were unveiled in early August 1921 according to The Tablet.(1924 according to the Centenary book)

The other memorial is a window donated in memory of David Starrs.I have so far been unable to identify anyone of that name who died in WW1

I have been able to identify Patrick David Starrs,born 5/8/1889, who took his Board of Trade Masters certificates at Dundee Technical College from 1910-1914 and who was killed on SS Kingsland on 2 january 1946.His address,whilst studying,was Castle Terrace,Broughty Ferry and his father was David.His sister,it would appear,was Norah,a schoolteacher who was a significant supporter of the Church for many years.

I have asked Father Mc Carthy to check out the Starrs window in his records but perhaps the sleuths can provide more information?

May be a red-herring and I don't have any credits to check but SPeople has a death for a David Starrs in 1920.
