Outside the church is a Peace Garden with a Memorial Stone which was designed and built by the Russell Family in 1998.

(Glasgow Herald 31st May 1915)
"Private William Kirkland Keillar, 2nd Gordon Highlanders, son of Mrs Robert Keillar, 40 Marlborough Road, Cathcart, was killed in France on May 16. Private Keillar, who was a native of Clarkston, Busby, was for some time a lieutenant in the company of the Boys' Brigade connected with Cathcart Parish Church. He was employed with Messrs Eadie, Ireland and Co., woollen merchants, Mitchell Street, Glasgow, until a year ago, when he went to Cardiff. He was 25 years of age."
