I just noticed the following article recently;
THE STRATHEARN HERALD: 27.08.1921
ANOTHER WAR MEMORIAL AT COMRIE
Last Sunday forenoon a brass tablet was unveiled in the West United Free Church, in memory of six members of the congregation who fell in the war. Mr T. R. Mackenzie, Orcadia, Comrie (of the Clyde Navigation Trust) performed the ceremony in presence of a large congregation.
If I'm correct the W.U.F.C. is now the Parish Church which I visited last year. I had the usual good look around and I never saw any brass war memorials.
This is one to check further. Will the list never end!
