Lenzie Academy has a WW1 memorial.

It reads-

IN HONOUR OF ALL THE TEACHERS AND FORMER / PUPILS OF LENZIE ACADEMY WHO SERVED / THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919 / AND IN MEMORY OF THE UNRETURNING BRAVE / WHOSE NAMES ARE REVERENTLY RECORDED HERE.

THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE / AN OFFERING OF GRATITUDE FROM TEACHERS AND SCHOLARS 30TH JUNE 1919

The Scotsman - Monday 24 January 1921 WAR . MEMORIALS. LENZIE. — A memorial erected in Lenzie Academy to the teachers and former pupils who gave their lives in the war was unveiled by Mr Alex. Buchanan, London, a former rector, on Saturdaywhen Major D. C. Beveridge.presided. The memorial, in the form of a mural tablet, contains 66 names.
Kirkintilloch Herald - Wednesday 26 January 1921 LENZIE ACADEMY WAR MEMORIAL UNVEILING CEREMONY In commemoration former pupils and teachers of the Academy who gave their lives for freedom's cause, the unveiling of a tablet was carried out in the vestibule of the school Saturday afternoon.
