This original memorial is now housed in a cupboard in the basement of St. George's Tron Church Hall at 25 Bath Street, Glasgow G2 1HW.
I do not know what plans the church has for this memorial.

I imagine the memorial was originally mounted upon the wall of the Doanldson Line offices somewhere in the city?

A joint owned Donaldson Line merchant vessel the SS Athenia had the unfotunate honour of being the first British casualties of the second world war.

Donaldson Line offices appear to have been at 62 Buchanan Street, now home to Russell and Bromley shoe retailers.
