There is (or was?) a memorial at Abercorn Partish Church, formerly Linlithgowshire but I believe now in West Lothian.
My evidence for this is an original order of service for the dedication and I will post this in the appropriate section of the forum. |

I'll ask my Mum to check with the 'old folk' about any memorial in Broxburn: although I'm embarassed that I don't know!

Ma Roxy reckons that the WM is in the old Parish Church in Station Road. I'll check it out next time I'm home.

There is an Armadale Public School Roll of Honour for the Great War.
I am afraid that I don't know its current location but there is an excellent readable photo here http://www.armadale.org.uk/armadale%20public%20school%20roll%20of%20honour.htm. Perhaps an eMail to the site owner would get this information and permission to use the photo?

I noted that the RBL directory has Blackness WM (St. Ninians Way) listed in Falkirk area.
The UKNIWM Ref. has it listed in Lothian and British Gazetteer has it in West Lothian.
Thought I'd add this to avoid it being missed - and which area should it go in ? |

Blackness is in the Falkirk Council area.
Before 1997 it may have been in West Lothian District in which case it was in Lothian Region so that would explain the UKNIWM reference.
If in doubt as to which local authority a community is in there is a way to look it up. (I only thought of this the other day when I was trying to work out where the boundaries for Highland and Argyll Councils were). Look up the local primary school in google and it will point you to the local authority website. Easy!

Kevin
This was one of our early posts and all three Livingston memorials are in one thread.
When the list was updated each entry points to the thread they are in.
Ideally when time permits the thread will be split and the list updated.
Cheers

Just seen this post on GWF by Alf McM under the heading 'Linlithgow Academy Roll of Honour'.
"I was recently in Linlithgow Academy, and noticed a roll of honour hanging on a wall, inside the building. It was slightly unusual in that it commemorated soldiers from 1914-1919. I would appreciate if someone could post a photograph, or a list of the names on this memorial."
So that's one more to add to the 'to-do' list.

Hi
I was checking through some of the forums and see that you asked it someone could photograph the War memorial in Linlithgow academy. I went in recently and asked the school if it was ok to take the photo of the memorial. I manage quiet a few and will put it on the forum if i can soemtime this winter.
I am going around Linlithgow to see what other memorials there and have quiet a few and have more to come. Would you be interetsed in them?
