Roll created by David Prophet Ramsay,a well known local artist,who fought in the War and was seriously injured.Apart from his paintings and drawings he created a series of war time cartoons under the name "Sam Ray".Perth Museum&Art Gallery have a large collection of his work.

AWARDED THE MILITARY CROSS.
Capt. Norman Anton, 7th Bn., Arg. & Suth'd Highrs., T.F.

London Gazette: 20 September 1918 Supplement:30915 Page:11312

2nd Lt. Frank Whyte, R.G.A., Spec. Res.
For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during an enemy attack. He remained on duty at the guns under heavy shell fire throughout the action, superintending the working of the guns and checking all the targets. His steadiness and courage had a most cheering effect on his men.
