The metal war memorial plaque is within the church wall of ST PAUL'S SCOTTISH EPISCOPAL CHURCH , STRATHNAIRN :

Regimental Badge

In sacred memory of CLAUDE BRUCE MATHESON, 2nd Lieutenant Rifle Bde
3rd son of the Reverand John Matheson, late Rector of this church killed in action 23 September 1917 near Warneton Flanders in his 26th year .

"I am the resurrection and the life he that believe in me though he were dead yet shall he live ."

( I hope to add a photo to this )

PS there are a number of former senior officers memorials on the church walls but none were casualties of war other than the ones Ive added to this index .
