Not sure of this one. Perth Golden Book lists Alexander Keay, Royal Scots Fusiliers. His service papers survive on Ancestry (TR/20548). He died 18.12.1916 at Dundee War Hospital whilst still in service, I think. There is a letter which concludes that his condition was not caused or exacerbated by war service. But should he still not have CWGC status ?

Mark

The cause of his death, if serving, is irrelevant. He qualifies for CWGC and appears to be missing. Will check and advise.

TR/2/20548 Pte. Alexander Keay, 77th Training Reserve Battalion has been forwarded as a case, on Mark's behalf, to CWGC / MOD as an in service death non comm.
His details are now in the system.

I am making further enquiries regarding his place of burial.
Will update when further details available.

Well done Mark in finding him.
