There are several civic memorials in Scotland where there are no names listed. I've listed the ones I can think of here and so far only two do not have a roll of hnour or another set of plaques which list the names of the fallen.
Can anyone think of others?
Aberdeen - Roll of honour
Dundee - Roll of honour
Edinburgh - Has several local civic memorials but no roll of honour that covers the whole city
Hamilton - Plaques in Town Hall
Leith - Roll of Honour
Musselburgh, Great War - No names, no roll of honour (WW2 memorial lists names)
Perth - Golden Book

Uddingston - no names on memorial. I'm not sure if there's a list elsewhere.
Wishaw - no names for WW2. WW1 names are on the memorial at Newmains.
Cambuslang - no names on memorial. Again, I'm not sure f there's a list elsewhere.
Craigneuk has no names but that is something that the local community are working on rectifying.
Two other Lanarkshire communities with no names on the memorial are Westburn and Hartwood. |

Falkirk.
No names and if there is a Roll of Honour anywhere, it must be a secret as I can't find out a sausage.

The memorial reads:
WW1 - over 1100 bairns......
WW2 - nearly 220.......
This suggests some count/list had been made.
Possibly the unveiling reports in the local paper may tell us if a roll of honour was compiled. |

The only civic memorials in Dumfries and Galloway without names are:
Stranraer Glebe, although some of those commemorated will be named on the Stranraer Burgh memorial
Applegarth (pillar) although there is a separate plaque with names inside Applegarth and Sibbaldbie church

Hawick's memorial does not list any names.
However, a list of the names from the 2 World Wars and later conflicts are kept on a Roll of Honour in the neighbouring Wilton Lodge Museum. _________________

A "Citizen's Roll" with about 4,000 names was in the Huntly House Museum in Edinburgh in the 1930s. It is now missing. It was probably passed to the National Library of Scotland since they have a record of having an Edinburgh Roll of Honour but they can't find it!

The Govan memorial has no names upon it.
Is there a Roll of Honour known to exist? |

Govan and Partick might be covered partly by the Roll of Honour for Glasgow. Perhaps not comprehensively. |

The Elderslie, Kilbarchan and Johnstone civic memorials (all in Renfrewshire) have no names upon them. |
