Listed as "Fallen" on the Cavers & Kirkton Roll of Honour which hangs in Cavers Church near Hawick is the name of Pte Graham Irvine, Scots Guards who died in Hawick on the 25-Jul-18.
Cavers & Kirkton Roll of Honour

GRAHAM IRVING (No Record of Birth Found)

d 25 July 1918 at 7.30am at 23 Dickson Street, Hawick Age 48. The cause of death given by Dr William Turnbull Barrie as a Malignant Tumour of the Kidney from which he suffered for 12 months. Reported by his brother Robert Irvine of 20 Dickson Street, Hawick

Employed as a General Labourer. (details also given on the death extract of Military Career, Private 10112 3rd Battalion Scots Guards. Parents were Fergus Graham Irvine and Susan Mullins.

His medal Index card shows that he was awarded a Silver War Badge. If he was issued a SWB, as far as I am aware he will have been discharged under King's Regulation, as no longer fit for service. So, although the death extract shows him as a soldier this cannot be correct.

But possibly he was a qualifying post-discharge case?
