The modern Memorial outside the West Lothian Offices.
The background is the Asda carpark but at least the Councillors don't have far to walk each November. |

The Original Livingston Village Memorial.
Names will be added to this thread later. (Malcolm)
This Memorial is just inside the gates of the local church. |

The older memorial now has its own thread.

It was originally the war memorial for the Deans Oil Works. A shale oil company.
The works closed in 1946 and to me the inscription for the Second World war names suggests this memorial was then adopted as the Livingston Station War Memorial. (The Deans Works were in Livingston Station and the area is known as either Livingston Station or Deans)
The addition of a name for a post-war conflict certainly suggests it is now a civic memorial but I'd say it is for Deans (aka Livingston Station) rather than Livingston.
Regards
