GILLIES, James, Pte., S-40559,
8th Royal Highlanders

Born Kelty, Fife. Enlisted Lochgelly, Fife. Killed in action, 3 May 1917. Arras Memorial, France, Bay 6.


RODGER, John, Pte., S-14437,
6th Gordon Highlanders

Born Auchterderran, Fifeshire. Enlisted Lochgelly, Fifeshire. Killed in action, France and Flanders, 31 July 1917. Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 38.


THOMSON, John R., Pte., 235495,
2nd Gordon Highlanders

Born Cowdenbeath, Fifeshire. Enlisted Milnathort. Killed in action, France and Flanders, 4 October 1917. Husband of Annie Thomson, 13 Auchterderran Road, Lochgelly. Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 135-36.

Pte. John R. Thomson, husband of Mrs Thomson, Auchterderran Road, is reported missing. He enlisted two years ago. He was a spirit merchant with his father before the war. The Lochgelly and Kelty News, 23 October 1917.
