This church has a bit of history attached for me, as my father was Minister of this Church when he met and married my mother.

I have no pictures at the moment, but their website, http://www.croftfootparish.co.uk/ contains a number of photographs, including one of the Church Bell, which is their memorial to the Fallen of the Second World War.

Some detail on the memorial bell was found in the Croftfoot Parish diamond jubilee booklet.

The bell weighs 770 lbs, and the inside diameter is 33 inches. It was cast and fitted by Gillet and Johnson of Croydon.

The inscription on the bell reads "To the Glory of God and in Memory of the Fallen. 1939-1945."

This inscription is repeated on a plaque beside the main door which was unveiled by Alexander McKenzie of 42 Highcroft Avenue. The unveiling took place on Armistice Day 1946. Mr Mckenzie was at the time the Rollkeeper of the church, and had been awarded the Belgian Croix de Guerre.

Some photos of the church, bell and plaque.

The Church was built in 1935 and I believe has no Great War memorial.
