There is no such place. I think you are referring to Portsoy, Banffshire.
It is listed in the Aberdeenshire section since it is now within the Aberdeenshire Council administative area, although previously in the County of Banff.
Only recently approval was given, despite the recommendation of council planners / roads officers, for road signs to be erected to mark the old Banffshire boundaries.
Portsoy has a lovely memorial of a Gordon Highlander in mourning pose.

Thank you, the mic of Capt A M Robertson looks more like Portsay. I will be visiting Robertson's grave tomorrow or Saturday on a long weekend to the Somme. He is buried in Serre Rd no2 and I have his footlocker here at home.
