This is for anyone thinking about posting a memorial or a request for information on a memorial.

At the top of the page is a little link marked "Search". Please ALWAYS make sure you have searched for a memorial you wish to post. You may well find it has already been posted, we already have most of the civic memorials in Scotland on the forum. You can then add your pictures to the existing thread.

Also bear in mind that the memorial might be under a different name to how you know it. For example, the memorial at Newmains is also sometime known as Cambusnethan Landward. So remember to search for all options of the name.

This is to prevent any duplication appearing on the forum (which has happened in the past) and therefore avoids the moderators having to lock and delete duplicate threads.

Hello, I have used 'SEARCH' and find no mention of the War Memorial that stands on the Main Street of Pitlochry. I have a good postcard of it. Can you give any further information, please?

It is listed under Moulin (the parish memorial);
