Hi all.fantastic site.well done all.was wondering if you could help me.trying to find a Pte John Mccann 1st Cameronians.Ive found out hes from Linlithgow but dont see him listed on any memorials there or any in Lothian area.Is this quite common.

Hi John
Welcome - I think we have quite a few memorials in that area to capture on the forum. We don't seem to have an active member in that area yet so he may well be on one of those, but you do find people who just do not appear on any memorial for various reasons, there are quite a few posts on this subject, also on GWF.

Helo John,
Welcome from me too!
Do you know if John McCann's family 'originated' from Linlithgow? Perhaps if they were from another area and moved there, his name will be on a memorial where they previously lived.

Thanks for your replies guys.He just listed as son of John and Anne Linlithgow.ill keep looking and once again keep up the great work.
