What is that at the head of the memorial? Is it a sun dial?

Derek

It does look like one, and it would fit in with the inscription 'Tyme Tryth Troth' which seems to translate as 'Time tests faith'.

I presume there were lines and times inscribed onto the face of the memorial but it looks like these have worn away over the years.

If anyone is passing by this memorial perhaps it would be possible to have a close up look to see what is there.

Thanks

Adam
