Minishant - Kyle & Carrick District
The Minishant war memorial is a grey granit celtic cross with wheel-head and bosses by McLachlan Sculptors of Ayr. It is situated on the grass beside the Main Road in front of the village. An unusual feature of the memorial is that it lists all of the villagers who served in the Great War, those killed are listed on the face of the pedestal, the veterans were listed on the sides.

It looks like there has been a little work done around this memorial but the inscriptions are now quite badly faded.

WMR 80411.

Until it closed in 1987 this was apparently at the Lady Coates Memorial Church on Ayr Road, now a Tandoori Restaurant.

At NGR NS 32707 14078
