A delightful, small memorial situated 50 yards north of the Corrie Hotel on a bad bend in the road just above the shoreline.
Note the number of Great War casualties is less than for the Second World War, an uncommon occurrence.

William James Landsborough was the son of John Landsborough [born Tinwald DFS] and Mary McQuat Mitchell [born Crawfordjohn LKS]. He was born in Sanquhar and appears in the 1901 census at Quarter Cottage there with his parents and sister Janet. |
