I have been looking forward to this being posted (great pics). These were a particularly brave bunch of guys who fought the weather and the North Sea as well as the Germans. A great website gives details:

The information and pictures in these articles have been obtained from both sides of the North Sea, so gives a fairly balanced overview of the operation.
The sculpture of the 'Andholmen' which is mounted on the memorial was produced by Shetland Sculptor Alan Hart. The stones which make the base of the monument are from the home locations of those who lost their lives in the operation, and from the locations on Shetland which were connected with the operation.
