Spr Wm. McReadie

Surname only spelled McReadie on memorial, article and military records give McReady. Not on Motherwells memorial.

(Glasgow Herald 4th October 1915)
"Official intimation has been received by his wife of the death of Sapper McReady of the Royal Engineers, who was killed at the Dardanelles. Sapper McReady was a native of Motherwell, but had resided in Hill of Beath for eight years. Before enlistment in August 1914, he was engaged as a colliery machineman. He leaves a wife and four children."

"Dardanelles" must be a mistake in place of Mesopotamia?
