I hear that there is a MEMORIAL GARDENS at INVERGORDON to
HMS NATAL that exploded in 1915 killing many on board.

On 30th December 1915 , HMS Natal was in the Cromarty Firth with her Squardon and Capt Eric Back was hosting a party for the families and nurses from the hospital ship when and explosions took place .
Seems that 390 to 421 persons perished

The site is designated a "War Grave "

Pat

We already have a board to HMS Natal at the Lifeboat station at Invergordon recorded here:

Will the gardens be something else in Invergordon?

I can confirm this is a separate memorial. See WMR report 75965
