|

Now that we have been running for nearly two years there is a little of bit of forum administration to be done.
For example there are some threads out there where we need photographs. We may not have photographs of the name panels or even of the memorial itself. We may need up to date photographs as well.
Other threads might not have a location, Ordnance Survey reference or a UKNIWM entry.
We will also start adding unveiling details so if they haven’t been posted we’ll list them here.
There will probably be other things needing some attention which I haven’t thought of but will be listed here too.
We will start making up a list here covering all this area’s memorials, civic, church, regimental etc. If we come across something that will need actioned the Mods. can add it to this list. If you see something that needs updated please post in this thread and we can update the list. |

I've just taken photos of the (rather interesting) modern war memorial in the Gorbals Rose Garden. Will mount a full report when I've done some more research, later this week. |

Here are some Glasgow memorials we need
Battle of Langside Memorial, Battlefield Road
Sir John Moore Statue, George Square
Wellington, Buchanan Street
Lord Clyde Statue, George Square
We have this one already but we could do with some of the equestrian statue as well as the pedestal
Lord Roberts, Kelvingrove

Will mount added pics of Lord Roberts over the next few days. Have found an excuse to drive past the Battle of Langside memorial and will get pics and mount a report next week. |

Graeme
David managed to get to Langside at the weekend but hasn't had a chance to upload his photos. That will save you a trip.
Cheers

I don't think we have any of the memorials from Glasgow Cathdral on the forum yet. We certainly don't have the City of Glasgow Police or the Anderson Brothers plaques

I have some others on file but the quality is poor. I'll need to try and arrange to visit the cathedral again. |
