Strathyre - Stirling District
The Strathyre war memorial stands on a hill on the east side of the main street (northern end od village), behind one of the cottages. This is a particularly beautifully constructed traditional highland cairn crowned with a large rock of white quartz, and the polished pink granit tablet (possibly Ross of Mull granit) bearing the names of the dead is set into the face.
